Austin Lay

Reality Capture Technologies Manager at Layton Construction

Austin Lay is a Reality Capture Technologies Manager with Layton Construction, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Austin has been with Layton for nine years and is a graduate of Weber State University. Austin assisted in starting Layton's drone program in 2017. he became the first Part 107 license holder in the organization. Austin also helped create a company-wide drone use policy. Reality Capture is a critical part of the construction process at Layton, where some Reality Capture is happening every hour across job sites from Hawaii to North Carolina and many other locations in between.

Kyle Miller

Solutions Engineer at DJI

Kyle Miller is part of DJI's solutions engineering team. Kyle grew up on a corn and soybean farm in Iowa, and has degrees in computer science and agribusiness. He has been researching remote sensing technology for more than 10 years, and creating drone maps since 2013. Since building his first UAV 10 years ago, Kyle has utilized drone data in a number of different commercial industries including AEC, surveying, and agriculture.
