Paul Hardy
Australian UAV Service - Manager & Chief Remote Pilot
Paul Hardy has overseen the growth of the Australian UAV Service, a wholly owned subsidiary of Surf Life Saving NSW, as Manager and Chief Remote Pilot since 2019. Working closely with the NSW Department of Primary Industries, the Service has grown in this time from 8 fixed locations for UAV public safety surveillance to over 50 fixed and 30 mobile locations across the NSW coastline.
Paul has also aided in the integration of UAV platforms to support other emergency services in NSW including the State Emergency Service in flood response, NSW RFS in fire response, and NSW Police in Search and Rescue taskings.
