Volateq offered us great insights on their processes in the inspection of solar installations, that you can find in their presentation through the link below.
This webinar will provide valuable insights on the pivotal key performance indicators that drive efficiency and excellence in photovoltaic and concentrating solar plants:
Volateq offers solar analytics software for automated monitoring of solar fields. Their software enables power plant operators to realize autonomous and flexible airborne condition monitoring of their solar fields, which at the same time is far cheaper and quicker than the state of the art. They partner up with portfolio owners and asset managers to detect and correct anomalies that affect energy production. Their vision: To accelerate a global sustainable energy supply.
Volateq’s mission is to provide user friendly and reliable airborne condition monitoring for solar plants to improve performance, productivity, safety and cost efficiency.
Christoph Prahl
Volateq - Co-Founder
Christoph joined the German Aerospace Center in 2009 to work on several topics related to the inspection of concentrating solar power (CSP) plants and did his PhD on image analysis using drones in CSP solar fields.
As Co-Founder of Volateq, Christoph is constantly improving the software and works on the further development of measurement technology of our products. He is driven by a strong intrinsic motivation to support a sustainable solar energy supply.
Fabian Wolfertstetter
Volateq - Product Development Manager
Fabian did his PhD in solar energy engineering at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) at CIEMAT’s renowned Plataforma Solar de Almeria in southern Spain where he met Christoph. At DLR he led multiple international R&D projects in the field of energy meteorology and soiling, image analysis, sensor development and performance analysis for both, CSP and PV technologies.
He joined Volateq in 2022 to lead their PV product developments
