What's New in DJI FlightHub 2

The latest version of DJI FlightHub 2 introduces expanded support for Zenmuse L3, enabling cloud-based flight planning, point cloud previews, and estimated operation reports for DJI Matrice 400 missions.

This update also adds trigger-based automated workflows for third-party system integration, enhanced intelligent algorithms for more efficient inspections, and upgraded cloud-based modeling with support for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). New data analysis, sharing, airspace safety, and private deployment enhancements further improve operational efficiency, compliance, and scalability.

Smarter operations, deeper system integration, and enhanced cloud intelligence

DJI FlightHub 2 has released a new version, bringing expanded hardware compatibility, automated operational workflows, and significant upgrades to intelligent processing and cloud-based modeling capabilities. The update is designed to help teams manage complex drone operations more efficiently across public safety, emergency response, inspections, and urban management scenarios.

Zenmuse L3 now supported

DJI FlightHub 2 now supports cloud-based flight route planning for Zenmuse L3 and displays estimated point cloud operation reports. Users can plan flight missions for DJI Matrice 400 equipped with Zenmuse L3 and sync missions directly to the Pilot 2 app.

Through Pilot 2, users can also upload Zenmuse L3 point cloud preview files, enabling rapid data synchronization and early visibility into mission results.

Third-party system integration: trigger-based automated workflows

DJI FlightHub 2 introduces trigger-based automated workflows, allowing users to configure and integrate operational logic through a visual interface, without writing complex code.

This enables third-party systems to automatically dispatch drone missions in response to predefined events, supporting real-time alerts, scheduling, and response actions. The feature is designed for applications such as urban security, emergency response, and routine inspections.

Intelligent algorithms for more efficient inspections: Flight route optimization

Patrol routes now support selecting different focal lengths to improve recognition accuracy at varying altitudes and scenarios. New trigger actions for spotlights and speakers have also been added, expanding automated operation capabilities.

DJI FlightHub 2 now supports both DJI official and third-party infrared target recognition algorithms, helping teams conduct inspections more efficiently.

Onboard algorithm enhancements

Onboard algorithms now support object segmentation, enabling more precise identification and differentiation of targets in complex environments. This expands the application scope of onboard processing and improves recognition accuracy across diverse scenarios.

Additional onboard computing capabilities are available through the Intelligent Computing Open Platform.

Cloud-based modelling for collaborative operations: Support for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)

The new version of DJI FlightHub 2 supports 3D Gaussian Splatting reconstruction for cloud-based mapping. Users can also upload locally generated 3DGS result files and share 3DGS models online for collaborative viewing.

Rapid modeling

During missions, drones can transmit thumbnail images in real time. Once transmission is complete, the system automatically begins modeling, supporting rapid modeling requirements in emergency scenarios.

Up to 500 thumbnail images can be reconstructed into a 3D model in approximately five minutes.

Note: Rapid modeling currently supports manually piloted drones only and does not support DJI Dock series.

Rapid Mapping Set Up

Model sharing

Photogrammetry and 3DGS models can be shared online. Recipients can view models instantly by scanning a QR code on a mobile phone or tablet, with no login required, enabling fast and efficient data sharing.

Modeling API open access

DJI FlightHub 2 OpenAPI now includes Modeling APIs, enabling third-party systems to quickly integrate reconstruction capabilities.

The legacy DJI Terra API will be phased out in the future. Existing users currently in trial are not affected.

Data analysis and sharing made simple: Point Measure

DJI FlightHub 2 now supports point measurement directly on models. Users can extract WGS84 coordinates for any point on the model surface, including latitude, longitude, ellipsoidal height, and altitude.

Analyzer sharing

Analyzer results can now be shared with one click. Recipients can view model media timelines, measurement results, and analysis reports by scanning a QR code, no login required.

Airspace safety and compliance

Upgraded Operational Airspace Management

The Map Operation Area has been upgraded to Airspace Safety, now including three modules:
• Custom flight zones
• Terrain and obstacle data
• Airspace warnings

These enhancements help ensure safer and more compliant drone operations.

Optimized and private deployment updates: annotation to measurement and route areas

Users can now convert custom or imported map annotations into:
• Area-based mission zones
• Patrol route regions
• Measurement ranges within the Analyzer

This eliminates manual boundary creation and ensures precise alignment between planning and analysis.
