The Law Enforcement Drone Association is an organization formed by law enforcement officers with a passion for bringing drones into the public safety sector for good. They are focused on training with regional law enforcement UAS Teams, and agencies with a desire to start UAS programs.
In this webinar, attendees will have the chance to learn from specific real scenarios experienced by the panelists, how drones were deployed, and the lessons learned. Additionally, the panelists will guide the attendees on best practices and frameworks for setting UAS Programs for law enforcement agencies.
Jon is a police sergeant for the Gresham Police Department in Oregon, and started GPD’s first UAS Team last year, with 10 pilots and 6 aircraft. While presiding over LEDA, the organization has grown to over 200 law enforcement agencies nationwide and over 400 law enforcement officer members.
Kyle Williams - Vice President, LEDA
Kyle Williams is a Sergeant and Drone Team Supervisor with the Eugene Police Department (EPD). Kyle began the process of creating a UAS team in the fall of 2018, writing policies and procedures for the department. The program now has nine drones and six pilots.
