Free Zenmuse L3 Data Processing*

DJI Terra now provides comprehensive support for Zenmuse L3 data processing at no additional cost. Users can seamlessly import data to initiate LiDAR point cloud reconstruction tasks without purchasing additional software licenses. With a single click, generate multiple outputs including 3D point clouds, 2D maps, 3D models, Gaussian Splatting, DEM, and more—streamlining your workflow and maximizing operational efficiency.
 

LiDAR Point Cloud Data Local PPK

Achieving high-precision POS through IMU fusion with GNSS differential processing is critical for accurate point cloud data processing. DJI Terra supports multiple PPK data processing methods, ensuring optimal point cloud accuracy across diverse operational scenarios.

Stable RTK Environments:  Use raw POS processing—the software directly utilizes the RTB data recorded by the LiDAR for streamlined processing.

Unstable RTK Areas:  Select local PPK processing by setting up a PPK base station (such as D-RTK 3) at a known point and importing the base station file into DJI Terra for enhanced accuracy.

Support for Flight Trajectory Trimming, ROI, and Blocks

Flight Trajectory Trimming 

New support for flight trajectory trimming enables you to remove low-quality flight route data before LiDAR point cloud reconstruction. Generate point clouds corresponding only to your required flight trajectory, with rendering displayed according to trajectory paths. Quality reports now include detailed flight strip accuracy information for better project oversight.

Supported Projects: Both the DJI Terra visible light reconstruction and LiDAR point cloud reconstruction projects now fully support cluster reconstruction workflows.

Visible Light Cluster Reconstruction 

With the DJI Terra V5.1 update, Standard and Flagship license holders gain immediate access to cluster reconstruction functionality—at no additional cost. This powerful capability enables efficient processing of large-scale datasets through distributed computing. Visible light cluster reconstruction supports key workflows including aerial triangulation, 2D map generation, and 3D mesh reconstruction.

Standard and Flagship Versions Now Support Cluster Reconstruction

Free Point Cloud Cluster Reconstruction 

Cluster mode reconstruction for Zenmuse L3 LiDAR point cloud tasks is now available without requiring additional DJI Terra software licenses. Simply log in to the software to begin leveraging distributed computing for your LiDAR reconstruction workflows.

Important Note for Existing Cluster Edition Users

If you previously purchased the DJI Terra Cluster Edition, please be aware that after upgrading to DJI Terra V5.1, the original cluster worker devices will require reconfiguration. For upgrade assistance, please contact your authorized dealer or DJI Enterprise after-sales technical support for specialized migration support.

DJI Modify: Enhanced Capabilities

DJI Modify continues to excel in intelligent point cloud editing and 3D model editing, while introducing powerful new capabilities. This update delivers large-scale point cloud rendering support, advanced 3D Profile tools, real-time TIN editing, and additional productivity-enhancing features designed for professional workflows.

Large-Scale Point Cloud Rendering Support

DJI Modify now employs an optimized point cloud loading strategy that enables 32 GB memory systems to handle LAS point cloud data exceeding 120 GB. This represents a significant leap in processing capability for enterprise-scale projects.

Intelligent Memory Management

When available memory falls below twice the size of the point cloud LAS file, DJI Modify automatically splits the data into blocks and groups them according to your system's memory capacity. One group can be loaded at a time for editing, ensuring smooth performance even with massive datasets.

Advanced 3D Profile Tool

When performing operations such as ground point classification, smoothing, denoising, or thinning, changes to TIN terrain outputs are instantly previewed—eliminating wait times for regeneration. This real-time feedback transforms point cloud editing into a more intuitive, efficient, and responsive experience.
